The "Gold Wing Club d'Aquitaine" (GWCA) is an association which was created in April 2000. Its charter is
based on an act of the French law known as : "loi 1901" which stipulates the operating model and the structure
of such an association.

The GWCA 's goal in life is to bring together all the Wingers residing in this region of France known as
Aquitaine, where life is enjoyable and which spans the five following "departements" (French equivalent to the
US counties)

- La Dordogne (24)

- La Gironde (33)

- Les Landes (40)

- Le Lot et Garonne (47)

- Les Pyrénées Atlantiques (64).

The membership is open to any owner of any type of Honda GoldWing as well as F6C's (the European code
name of the US Valkyrie ) and Rune. If you own a motorcycle of a different brand (we feel sorry for you ...) but
if you enjoy riding along those winding country roads with a bunch of folks who share the same passion and who
are always ready to have fun together you are certainly welcome to join the group as a "special guest
member".

GWCA association structure

The board is composed of a president, a vice-president, a secretary, a vice secretary and an treasurer. 4
additional officers representing other regional Wingers Association are also elected to be part of the board.

Internal Communication

A bi-monthly edition of the internal publication,called "Wing Spirit", which is edited by the board itself, is send
to every member. The "Wing Spirit" is here to tell you all about the life of the club and it's members. This goes
from information about the Wings (new models, features, special parts ... what have you) to the minutes of the
last rally. It tells the members

about the next events and of course it tells you all about your member fellows. If a member wants to share his
mood about a former event, tells his friends a joke or share his experience of trying a new feature on his bike
he is welcome to publish his own article. The "Wing Spirit" is about the spirit of our club : a bunch of friends
(men and women) whose motto is :

"let's have fun together when riding our wonderful machines"

Major Activities

The club organizes events such as a day visit of some special site of interest (could be a medieval castle in the
neighborhood, or a Bordeaux chateau with its vineyard). The club can also invites the members get together to
enjoy a friendly dinner at a restaurant. We have also longer rallies (2 to 3 days) organized in conjunction with
other regional associations. We also participate to charity rallies or help some organization or small village to
manage the security a special event like a bicycle race or a local marathon.

As of today, we are over 60 members.
